How to use this hero
Home faction: Temple
Temple expeditions with a travel specialty
Choose Ister for a Temple expedition that uses Wayfarer and Basic Logistics. Compare routes, safe rewards and recruitment distance on the actual map. Starting Swordsmen, Crossbowmen and Griffins offer protection, shooting and fast contact; the travel advantage alone does not win a harder battle.
Secondary role: Main commander if movement is supported by skills suited to the main army.
What the profile establishes

Movement points gain 5% per eight levels, with improved road travel as well. Compare actual reachable objectives rather than percentages alone.

Suggested army and further development
The following is our recommendation. Creatures, spells and items must actually be acquired; this does not establish current inventory.
First use the objective reachable today. Tie further combat development to the army he will actually keep; a logistics assistant need not receive the main commander’s equipment.
Skills I would build around: Basic Logistics · Basic Righteousness. Match further choices to available ranks and the current army.

Army: ranges in the source profile
- Stack 1 · 14–20 × Swordsman
- Stack 2 · 10–14 × Crossbowman
- Stack 3 · 5–7 × Griffin
Counts are ranges from the cited source profile rather than fixed states for every scenario. Creature stats retain their own version labels; newer builds may change the start.

Detailed game plan · Ister: map objectives, roads and a combat-ready Temple army
The following is our tactical analysis of the sourced profile. Choices depend on the actual map, learned spells and army; linked cards provide rules and references.
Choose an objective movement actually helps reach
Ister is a Temple Knight listing Logistics and Righteousness. Wayfarer adds 5% movement points every eight levels and improves road travel. Compare two actual routes, supply and hostile-contact risk. A higher percentage does not help if it still fails to reach the objective or delivers an army unable to defeat its guard. If rough terrain defines the route, compare Leon’s different Pathfinder specialty too.
Separate reinforcement travel from the main attack
As an additional hero, use him for safe collection, scouting and delivering needed troops when this actually saves the main army time. Before independent combat, compare assigned troop strength. A movement specialty itself adds neither creature Attack nor another learned spell and does not fix a bad engagement with a stronger guard.
Value the army within the stated reference build
At the listed prices, ten Crossbowmen cost 950 gold and have 100 total base maximum HP. Ten base Swordsmen cost 850 gold and have 120 base HP. Five Griffins cost 1,350 gold and have 150 base HP; use their reference Initiative nine and Speed five when judging deployment timing. Compare Swordsmen’s ranged defense and the Griffins’ actual flying and retaliation rules on their cards. These are unit reference values with their own build label, not a promise of identical values in every later version.
After arrival, plan resources other than movement
Build the fight around protecting Crossbowmen and the opponent’s actual reach. Hero mana, available spells and Focus for creature abilities are separate questions that Wayfarer does not solve. Check required charge, cooldown and a useful target before activating an ability. Delivering reinforcements matters when the army can use them at the right moment.
