How to use this hero

Home faction: Sorceress

Magic support for Elf shooters

I would use Gem as magical support for Elf shooters. Prepare acquired spells and their individual uses at a guild before leaving. Then plan Bless or disabling a dangerous enemy.

What the profile establishes

Heroes I does not have the later secondary-skill system.

Suggested army and further development

The following is our recommendation. Creatures, spells and items must actually be acquired; this does not establish current inventory.

Heroes I does not have the later secondary-skill system. Develop the four primary attributes. For magic, distinguish Knowledge and individual spell preparation from Spell Power and effect strength.

Creatures I would consider

Spells for this plan

  • BlessTactical option · acquisition depends on the map

Prefer a large stack with a wide damage range. A creature with equal minimum and maximum damage gains no damage from this rule.

  • BlindTactical option · acquisition depends on the map

Disable a shooter or powerful stack while dealing with the rest of the army. Avoid waking it with collateral area damage.

  • ParalyzeTactical option · acquisition depends on the map

Plan the opening hit and what happens after the target wakes. Damage ends control, so account for the enemy’s next action.

Equipment I would compare

Compare effect, slot and acquisition conditions on the item card. A suggestion does not establish that the hero starts with it.

  • Minor Scroll of KnowledgeSuggestion

Adds two Knowledge for memorized spell capacity.

Prepare for a longer expedition at a guild. Heroes I uses individual spell stocks based on Knowledge.

  • Caster's Bracelet of MagicSuggestion

Adds two Spell Power to strengthen the hero’s magic.

For spells whose damage or duration actually uses magical power. Check the individual spell formula.

A specialty target, conversion and tactical example are different relationships. Check conversion costs and compare individual upgrade forms on creature cards. A tactical example is not a confirmed starting army.

Detailed game plan · Gem: prepared spells and protected shooters

The following is our tactical analysis of the sourced profile. Choices depend on the actual map, learned spells and army; linked cards provide rules and references.

  1. Prepare at a guild first

The standard Sorceress profile has a spellbook, but Gem’s exact starting spells are not established here. Bless, Blind and Paralyze are acquisition options subject to the map. Check learned spells and individual remaining uses before departure; Heroes I does not plan around one shared mana pool.

  2. Bless must improve a real attack

Ten Elves have a base damage range of 20–30. Bless sets it to 30 before Attack and Defense modifiers. It pays off only if that stack still shoots or attacks while the effect lasts. Place Dwarves against the enemy’s reach to protect shooters without blocking your own movement plan.

  3. Keep control until the useful moment

The manual allows a blinded stack to retaliate when hit. Paralyze prevents retaliation on the opening hit; damage ends either effect. Decide which friendly stack should take contact and whether the blinded target is better left alone. Skip does not postpone your action like the later games’ Wait.

  4. Equip for the actual bottleneck

Minor Scroll supports preparation through Knowledge; Caster’s Bracelet improves effects using Spell Power. Separate insufficient spell uses from weak effects before the next expedition. If the enemy kills your shooters first, extra magic alone does not replace protection.

Roster and source scope

PC Heroes I. 36 names in four classes. Values describe the normal class baseline; heroes do not have personal specialties following the Heroes III system.

Development and equipment suggestions are our analysis of the listed profile. A mission may alter the starting state; each relationship distinguishes school access, an actually learned spell and a future acquisition option.
