How to use this hero

Home faction: Sorceress

Bless and protected shooters

Gem suits an army that can exploit Bless, especially Elves and Grand Elves. First give them a chance to shoot; the spell has little value if enemies reach them immediately. Treat Mass Bless as a separate acquisition.

Suggested army and further development

The following is our recommendation. Creatures, spells and items must actually be acquired; this does not establish current inventory.

Open the four-step plan below. It separates the actual reference start from spells and equipment that must still be acquired.

Skills I would build around: Basic Wisdom · Advanced Navigation. Match further choices to available ranks and the current army.

Creatures I would consider

Spells for this plan

  • BlessStandard class starting spell

Buff a large attacking stack before it strikes. When several friendly stacks are engaging, compare Mass Bless’s cost.

  • Mass BlessTactical option · acquisition depends on the map

Use it when several stacks are attacking. Saving hero actions can be decisive even when the mana total is not lower.

Equipment I would compare

Compare effect, slot and acquisition conditions on the item card. A suggestion does not establish that the hero starts with it.

Equipment suggestions for the plan (3)

Editorial suggestions based on sourced magic or an army plan. These are not starting inventory or guaranteed finds. Check acquisition, slot and rules on the item card.

  • Snake-RingSuggestion

Halves the base mana cost of Bless and Mass Bless.

For repeated casts of the particular starting spell. The item modifies cost rather than replacing the spell itself.

  • Power RingSuggestion

Adds two points of daily mana recovery.

For a longer spellcasting expedition. Capacity and daily recovery are separate effects; compare current reserves with the next battle.

  • Caster's Bracelet of MagicSuggestion

Raises Spell Power by two for scaling magical effects.

For spells whose damage or duration actually uses magical power. Check the individual spell formula.

A specialty target, conversion and tactical example are different relationships. Check conversion costs and compare individual upgrade forms on creature cards. A tactical example is not a confirmed starting army.

Detailed game plan · Gem: Bless, shooting and mana management

The following is our tactical analysis of the sourced profile. Choices depend on the actual map, learned spells and army; linked cards provide rules and references.

  1. Use the standard starting state

The standard Sorceress starts with Bless; campaign settings can differ. First identify a friendly stack that can hit before the enemy makes contact. With few shooters, compare casting cost with the target’s importance and the remaining battles that day.

  2. Count damage and usable attacks

Ten basic Elves deal 20–30 base damage per attack; Bless sets it to 30. This is not final damage against every defense. Compare the Grand Elf’s shooting ability and upgrade cost on its profile rather than judging solely by identical base damage for one hit.

  3. One stack or the whole army

Mass Bless is a separate spell to acquire. Compare it when several friendly stacks can use the remaining duration. Bless also replaces opposing Curse: sometimes its main job is undoing an enemy debuff before adding your own advantage.

  4. Cost reduction and recovery solve different problems

Snake-Ring reduces Bless and Mass Bless costs; Power Ring adds daily recovery. A discount helps the immediate casting sequence, while daily recovery matters across your route. Neither item automatically acquires Mass Bless, and a shooting buff does not protect Elves from melee contact.

Roster and source scope

Heroes II: 54 standard heroes, 6 Succession Wars campaign profiles and 11 Price of Loyalty profiles. Numeric references follow the cited fheroes2 revision. Custom maps and campaigns can override starting values.

Development and equipment suggestions are our analysis of the listed profile. A mission may alter the starting state; each relationship distinguishes school access, an actually learned spell and a future acquisition option.
