Reference profile; check availability

How to use this hero

Home faction: Academy

Recruitment governor · Golem +3, Gargoyle +6

I would choose this hero primarily to improve recruitment of the line below. The bonus applies while governing the relevant town and its area. Check dwellings, purchase costs and reinforcement travel before assigning the role.

Secondary role: A combat commander according to developed skills; the recruitment specialty itself does not improve the army’s attacks.

What the profile establishes

Specialty · Father of golems

Governor: adds +3 growth to Golems / Sandstone Golems and +6 to Gargoyles / Obsidian Gargoyles in the town’s area. Recruitment and its cost remain separate.

Listed starting skills

  • Metamagic
  • Prime Magic
Suggested army and further development

The following is our recommendation. Creatures, spells and items must actually be acquired; this does not establish current inventory.

For the primary role, first use the appropriate town and fund recruitment. For combat, build on the sourced skills below and choose new branches from this class’s actual options.

Skills I would build around: Metamagic · Prime Magic. Match further choices to available ranks and the current army.

Spells for this plan

  • Time ControlSpell / warcry in the reference profile

Cheaply move a key stack ahead of an opponent or delay a decisive enemy action. Cast while the current order can still matter; raising Initiative after an important stack has acted need not deliver the same immediate value.

Equipment I would compare

Compare effect, slot and acquisition conditions on the item card. A suggestion does not establish that the hero starts with it.

A specialty target, conversion and tactical example are different relationships. Check conversion costs and compare individual upgrade forms on creature cards. A tactical example is not a confirmed starting army.

The bonus requires the governor role and applies in the governed town’s area. Base and upgraded forms belong to one recruitment line; do not add their displayed values as two separate rewards. Check dwellings and budget: extra recruitment availability is neither a free army nor a direct combat bonus.

Detailed game plan · Masfar: two recruitment lines, their budget and a combat fallback

The following is our tactical analysis of the sourced profile. Choices depend on the actual map, learned spells and army; linked cards provide rules and references.

  1. Meet the governor condition first

Consider Masfar where Academy recruitment in the relevant town is useful. The specialty requires the governor role and the governed town’s area. Check dwellings, budget and reinforcement travel before assignment. The two reference stacks of eight Golems are a separate profile fact, not weekly specialty rewards.

  2. The two lines have different growth bonuses

Golem and Sandstone Golem belong to one line with +3 growth; Gargoyle and Obsidian Gargoyle belong to another with +6. Do not count base and upgraded forms as additional simultaneous bonuses. This is not +6 Golems and +12 Gargoyles. Compare each form’s abilities and the upgrade price you actually intend to pay.

  3. Extra availability still needs funding

At the listed base prices, three Golems cost 414 gold and six Gargoyles cost 300, totaling 714 gold. The corresponding three Sandstone Golems and six Obsidian Gargoyles total 927 gold. These are budget examples using the listed recruitment prices before further changes; growth alone neither pays for those troops nor transports them to the army.

  4. Build a combat fallback on the actual profile

The profile lists Metamagic, Prime Magic and the reference spell Time Control. Before combat command, check the actual spellbook, available ranks and usable mana; a listed spell does not establish every school ability. Compare changing roles with the governor’s contribution to further recruitment. Creature growth itself increases neither Attack nor the number of combat actions.

Roster and source scope

98 profiles: 89 from seven Acid Cave faction lists including Trial by Fire Fortress and bonus characters, plus 9 campaign profiles: Ivan, six other protagonists, Danan and Malwen. Documented roles and scenario objectives have separate explanations; complete campaign starting values remain under review. Governor bonuses require assignment and the relevant town area. Numerical starting attributes are still being verified.

Development and equipment suggestions are our analysis of the listed profile. A mission may alter the starting state; each relationship distinguishes school access, an actually learned spell and a future acquisition option.
